Washington

We continued to embrace the stunning and limitless bouldering in Leavenworth.

A real boulder problem called "Mounting a fatty", and mount a fatty we did.

There was a pump track in Leavenworth that we spent a surprising amount of time at. Felix ended with a controversial winning time of the race track we created.

Basking in the sun and exploring when the rain allowed us to play.

Lindsey on "The Fin".

We decided to switch hobbies, we will now all be golfing through North America - let us know your golf course recs.

Professional.

Got some great mountain biking in with this dope crew.

Attentive spotting. Felix on the V5 version of Spongebob Squarepad.

Felix and I detoured to the Gorge Ampitheatre for an EDM show and it was INCREDIBLE and we felt SO OLD. Next time I know to bring my fishnet stockings, leather boots and glitter make-up...

Are we cool now?

One of the absolute best venues I have ever been too.

Shower and washing hair time!

Explored the Grand Coulee area on our way up to Banks Lake on the Eastern side of WA.

Found an empty camp spot by the water, we had a waterfront crag and hang area for 2 full days with warm weather and cold water - possibly 2 of my favorite days so far.

First ponytail!?

No teeth smiles are trendy.

Climbed right over the water! Had to climb over the edge of the water on the side then set up an anchor over more climbs to be lowered down so we could climb back up.

Tie-dye shirts are trendy always. (thanks to Bob Fuller for sponsering us)

I attempted to capture more daily van life moments, not just the climbing and sight seeing but all the times we are just hanging out in the van, the meals we cook (Felix wants me to make a cookbook) and a more real life look at life in van.

Attempting "The pocket" until it kicked me off with a blood blister. (Thank goodness because that thing was way too tall for me).

Saw a celebrity climber crushing it.

Ceviche in the van!

Mid-day naps. Leavenworth had some of the best spots to park/hang after climbing right by the rushing rivers.

Breakfast tacos forever.

Reality - we spend quite a few days on logisical things (today has been groceries, laundry, errands, blog-post) this day Felix was movin the propane detector to a better location whie I worked on setting up a wedding website.

Saw a bear! (Cub)

Fish Tacos - officially my favorite meal.

The nearly lime green leaves never got old.

Creepy neighbors.

Convinced Felix to do a "walk" as he calls it with me. (Hike)

Met some people high-lining right next to a climb we were doing!

A classic on Castle Rock - still in Leavenworth.

YUH.

YAY.

Top-out views were greatly missed during the weeks of bouldering.

More riverside hangs - view from the back of the van.

Felix prepping for the next day adventure!

Me preppring for the next day adventure :)

Nick and Felix working Footless traverse.

A mountain goat greeting us at the base of Outer Space!

We became friends..he continued to climb up towards where I was, I wasn't scared and he seemed harmless however we met a couple the next day who tod us they are known for ramming people off the cliffs.. :/

Relaxing belay stations.

Top of Outer Space! Known to be one of the best climbs in WA and it did not disappoint.

That white streak on the wall furthest right is what we climbed!

The hike down from the climb.

Set up for Fly Boys! We drove to the top of the climb and stashed our bikes and snacks to bike down the following day after the climb.

Rain was in the forecast for 11 am so we started at 4:30.

Did you say "cookies"?

We topped out at 8:30 - climbing was much easier and faster than we thought it would be, ended up simul climbing a decent chunk of it.

Top out treats!

The bike ride down! 10 miles of mostly all down-hill biking with incredibe views, my favorite day we have had so far.

The Mazama bakery. Amazing pastries and really the only thing in this town yet it as always full of customers. We got to the bakery at 10:30 and it started raining as we sat down with our latte and scone - not bad timing.

Rest day/laundry day after the morning climb.

The coffee set-up.

My new favorite place to eat.

A rare sighting of Felix reading.

North Cascades!

Looking at neat views.

Met up with my girl Carly and her boyfriend Sean for the weekend to celebrate her 30th!

Weekend full of playing.

Cooking Ramen!

Accidental creative genius.

Sending in Trident sponsorhip photos.

MAGICAL forest covered in moss allowing us to run around barefoot and explore for hours.

Lots of giggles.

Took an evening river loop trail walk.

Found some smiley faces.

And natural art.

Felix throwing trees in rivers, a new common occurance.

Morning campsite views.

Afternoon campsite views.

Straight chillin.

Baker Lake.

Had to do it, the original strabucks. Felix's analysis - "that was underwhelming"

Another must, Felix's analysis - "but where do we go to just be" - he went from being underwhemed to overwhelmed by the city quickly haha.

Dim sum and tea in Chinatown while watching some studs play ping-pong.

The Seattle Center.

Museum of Pop Culture for the afternoon - very cool place despite my extreme lack of pop culture knowledge.

Think this thing is famous?

Had a great day to explore Seattle - learning 1 day in a city is all we need!

Finished the day at an AJR concert with all the preteens and teeneagers in Seattle :).

Phew! I didn't think we had that many picture to catch up on since we spent the majority of our time in the same place but turns out I was wrong! We absolutely loved being in the same area for awhile, especially with friends. Certain spots really felt like home, with so much travelling the familiarity was nice for awhile. Felix and I both got sick for about a week too (him much worse than I) but we were comfortable in the van and of course had all the time to rest we needed, we decided being sick while not working/getting paid really just feels like adult time-out. We tested negative for COVID but were able to easily keep distance from other people as we starting getting out again. We are moving on towards Canada in a few days! We will be there for the rest of the summer essentially, thanks for following along!
