Van build.

Empty van!  Started with a good clean.  The floor went in first (my project).  Our luxurious garage/work shop built out of Amazon boxes and a picnic table.  Wiring and insulation was next. Then the paneling of the ceiling and walls.  More panelling, you can see the sheep wool insulation behind Felix with working lights!  Me working hard while Felix plays around.  Working outlets and full solar/electric system!  Nice clean view before the bed/cabinets went up. How this all started.

Felix and I met in December of 2016 in the prime of my traveling therapy career. He somehow convinced me to stay in CA just long enough for us to fall in love, get engaged and courthouse married almost 5 years later (wedding plans in the works for 2023). I had the idea for me to continue travelling for therapy jobs and live in a van and he could just come with me - his response was "absolutely not". I scoffed and wished he would actually consider it, not realizing how big of a deal it was for him to leave his job as a firefighter. However, about 2 weeks later on a hike down from a climb Felix begins the conversation with "so I figured out how we can make this travelling thing work". Essentially, we decided we would plan to save up enough for us to both not work and just travel for a few years while we decide where to live next and settle down.
